Operated UScellular's employee cell service discount program end-to-end, from enrollment and eligibility content to bi-weekly compliance reporting, designing the methodology that kept the program accurate while supporting roughly 80% employee participation.

Content described is actual work I performed at UScellular; confidential details omitted. Outcomes reflect real results. UScellular was acquired by T-Mobile in 2025 and no longer operates as a company as of August 2026.
UScellular offered employees a substantial cell service discount as a benefit, but eligibility depended on multiple shifting conditions (plan type, work email status, employment status). The business needed to maintain a reliable way to enroll eligible employees, catch non-compliant accounts, and remove discounts accurately without manual guesswork.
Bi-weekly account data covering employee enrollment status, calling plan type, work email verification, and employment status, used to identify accounts that had fallen out of compliance and needed discount removal.

I supported and maintained the internal resources explaining program rules, eligibility, and enrollment steps, and helped support employee questions and disputes about the program.
I rebuilt the methodology used to pull and process compliance data bi-weekly, then wrote the guides that let our offline team apply that same process for both enrollment and removals.
When reporting complexity grew, I partnered with a colleague using Alteryx, guiding the process logic he needed to automate what had previously been a manual, spreadsheet-heavy compliance process.
A recurring share of employees fell out of compliance simply by changing their work email or switching calling plans, showing the need for proactive monitoring rather than one-time enrollment checks.
Bi-weekly compliance reviews consistently caught departed employees still receiving discounts, protecting the program from ongoing, avoidable cost leakage.
Automating the compliance data pull with Alteryx significantly reduced the manual prep time needed before each review cycle, freeing up capacity for other support work.

The discount program required constant monitoring since eligibility could change at any time, and my role kept that system accurate and functioning without HR needing to manage the operational details themselves.
Through consistent compliance monitoring, employee support, and process automation, the program sustained close to 80% employee participation while representing an estimated $200,000 in monthly discount value provided to employees using the benefit.
